DAY 1: Arrival in Rathdrum
From your point of arrival, use the public transport information we provide to make the journey to Rathdrum.
DAY 2: Iron Bridge - Glenmalure
13km • 3 - 5 hours • (↑) 370m
You start with a climb from the Ow River Valley that brings you close to the summit of Carrickashane Mountain. Cross over the road onto the shoulder of Slieve Maan before starting your descent into the picturesque valley of Glenmalure.
DAY 3: Glenmalure - Laragh
16km (18km via Spinc) • 4 - 6 hours • (↑) 430m
Today’s walk starts with a climb up to the northern ridge of the Glenmalure valley before you descend into Glendalough either along the Wicklow Way or by taking one of the beautiful route options via the Spinc with its great views.
DAY 4: Laragh - Roundwood
12km (15km via Scarr) • 3 - 6 hours • (↑) 400/700m
Take the shortcut back onto the Wicklow way through Laragh Village before crossing the Glenmacnass River and continuing up Paddock Hill. If you have a clear day, you can opt to take a detour at Paddock Hill and head for Scarr Mountain (641m). Re-join the Wicklow Way at Oldbridge.
DAY 5: Roundwood - Enniskerry
17km • 4 - 6 hours • (↑) 550m
Widely considered to be the highlight of the entire Wicklow Way trail, you start with a climb up to a memorial dedicated to JB Malone, the founder of the Wicklow Way. Continue upwards to White Hill before descending past Powerscourt Waterfall and into Crone Woods.
DAY 6: Departure from Enniskerry
There is a regular bus service from Enniskerry to Dublin City. We will be happy to provide you with further details upon request.
