DAY 1: Arrival in Clonegal

DAY 2: Clonegal - Tinahely

32km • 8 - 10 hours • (↑) 490m

A long first days walking mainly along remote country roads through rolling hills and quiet woodlands. After passing Shillelagh, famous for giving its name to the quintessential Irish fighting stick, you head into Muskeagh Woods before an old boreen leads you towards Tinahely.

DAY 3: Tinahely - Iron Bridge

21km • 4 - 6 hours • (↑) 400m

Starting off on a grass track around Coolafunshoge Mountain, the route skirts the tiny village of Moyne before heading into dense woodland around Ballygobban Mountain. A descent into the Ow River Valley brings you down to Iron Bridge.

DAY 4: Iron Bridge - Laragh

29km (31km via Spinc) • 7 - 9 hours • (↑) 800m

The trail now climbs steeply upwards to Borenacrow Saddle. The scenery here is stunning in all directions. From the
